“One day, maybe in a few years, in this place, we could create a sanctuary.”
Only a week later, we heard about pigs living in a terrible situation — and that moment became the beginning of Cornadure.
Founded in 2021, Rifugio Cornadure was born from urgency, compassion and collective action. What started as an idea quickly became a reality thanks to the animals who needed immediate help — and the people who chose to respond.
Cornadure has been built step by step by many hands and hearts💚
Volunteers from all over the world have contributed with their time, energy and skills to create and take care of this space. Friends, supporters and donors have made it possible to provide food, medical care, shelter and safety to the non human animals who now call Cornadure home.
This sanctuary exists thanks to solidarity.
Every donation, every shared meal, every helping hand and every moment of care has helped to shape Cornadure into what it is today.
Rifugio Cornadure is more than a place — it is home for non human refugees, a collective effort, a space of resistance and liberation, and a living example of what can be created when people come together to stand for non-human animals.
